A selection of sewing tips and tricks to help you get the most out of our craft kits

Running stitch

Thread needle with about 40 cm of thread and tie a knot at one end.

Push the needle from the bottom side of the fabric to the top. Gently pull the thread tight – the knot will stop it going all the way through. Push the needle back through from the top to the bottom about 5mm along. Make the second stitch in the same way about 5mm along again.

Over and over stitch

Push the needle from the bottom side of the fabric to the top.

Pull the thread tight and take it over the edge of the fabric and push the needle back in from the bottom of the fabric about 5mm along.
