Harris Tweed Tea-Cups at the V&A

Anyone for tea?

We just spent a fantastic day at the V&A  learning how to make tea-cups out of Harris Tweed with the very talented artist Emma Dolan.

Inspiration came from the V&A’s extensive ceramics collection and Sara and I both chose Clarice Cliff designs.  We recreated these in tiny scraps of Harris tweed in amazing colours which we needlefelted onto our base cups and saucers. Emma has won awards for her designs with Harris tweed –  check out her lampshades and cups on www.emmadolan.co.uk
